Nova III Paint Job

Painting Docking Light Bezels

Quick Paint on Sailboat Booms

Corrosion started to eat away at the original paint and this is the time of year to have them repaired. I received them prepped and zinc coated. My next steps were to prep for primer, sand smooth and finally paint

44 Foot Sailboat

This next job is actually a repeat customer that I painted the transom on at the beginning of the season. This 44ft sailboat had a bit of an accident that required an extra set of hands for a job of this size. I decided to team up with Ted Downy. Personal friend and owner of Seaside Boat Works.

Two sections repaired. A split above the waterline about 4ft long and a large knot below the waterline. Starting from the inside removing several layers of damaged fiberglass above and below the waterline. Each area replaced with a total of 8 layers of fiberglass. With a mix between chop matting, woven roven and finally DBM biaxial. Grinded to shape and re gelcoat.

Same process with the fiberglass on the exterior. Below the waterline reinforced filler applied, shaped, applied barrier coat and bottom paint.

Above the waterline faired, primed,  blocked, painted then finally buff the blend lines and the rest of the boat.
